Hi guys, I'm new and I'm a big fan of BMW E46. I have got one. It is E46 320i 110kw. I have a problem with it, I was in BMW service yesterday because appeared a problem with RPM. When I step on throttle pedal to 1000 RPM and drop it, it start immediately jump. Result of diagnosis is dead O2 sensor behind catalyst. So can the O2 sensor behind catalyst influence bad RPM and performance? Can it resolve my problem?

Thank you, sorry that I'm writing in English, I'm not from Poland. :)

I was in authorized BMW service, so I think that it could be just O2 sensor. I read this: when the monitoring O2 sensor is dead, so it directly influence the regulation O2 sensor, which forces behave differently.

It's posible but comp. Diagnostic dosn't show gaps in air leads what is a tipical reason of growwing rmp. Co2 demage might disturb engine work. Rmp migth wave. Car doesn't accerate fluently. Of course you should also change co2 after cat but if i were you i will check air leads in first time.
